Surveying Your Prospective Property 
Why would I want to have a survey done?
OK, so you've found that property you have been searching for, but what sort of condition is it really in? Can you rely on the assurances of the estate agent, owner or notaire, that very little work needs doing on it. We meet people everyday who have bought property here in France for 10-40,000 euros and cannot believe it when they find out that it is going to cost them another 40,000 or more to renovate it to their requirements. Those old stone cottages look very nice and are usually quite sturdy, but if the roof hasn't been kept in good repair - has the damp got in? Is the timberwork still ok? Has the timberwork been treated for woodworm etc? Are the electrics safe? Does the waste system conform to current regulations?
You may want to know the answer to these questions before you buy.

As well as inspecting the property itself, we can also give you information about the area surrounding the property. Maybe there is a pig farm behind the property that wasn't smelling when you came to view the property, but does 360 days of the year!

We will be completely honest in our assessment of your potential purchase, even if you may not like what we find!
